There are a few tracker services out there, and I know that
many programs offer you a free referral link tracker, but most of
them give you limited information to help you.
Say you wish to track your referral link at
http://mybigmoneymaker.com
You enter your referral link, and they provide you with a shortened, tracker
link:
http://mytracker/a05
EXAMPLE 1
You now take your tracker link out and you advertise it at:
MIKESSAFELIST
SUPERMANMAILER
JOHNNIESPTC
SUSIESMEGALIST
STEVERSUPERSURF
TAMMYSTAE
TOMMYSTE
CATHYSCLICKS
BOBSBIGHITS
SUPERSURF
You come back a week later and check your tracked link hits, you
received 5,000 hits! GREAT!
Now which one of these 10 sites worked?
You may have received 4,000 hits from MIKESSAFELIST, 999 hits from SUPERMANMAILER,
and 1 hit from the other 8 sites! But how do you know this? You received 5,000 hits
is all the info you have.
What if you could see that two of your advertising sites worked, and the other 8
were not worth your time! So you go out and find 8 new ones to replace the ones
not working! Next time you make your rounds, you may get 10,000 hits with the same
